About Us
The Conservatory began as a dream of Andrew Young, founder of Pearl River Glass Studio. After 50 years of creating world-class stained glass art, Andrew wanted to open the doors of that creative world to everyone. So he started the Pearl River Glass Conservatory- a place where people from all backgrounds can learn the craft of glass arts in a supportive, hands on environment.
Our mission is dedicated to fostering a vibrant creative community through: glass art education, preservation, & innovation.
Education: We provide a range of educational opportunities, including workshops, classes, and one-on-one instruction, to disseminate our knowledge to the broadest possible audience. Our aim is to inspire and cultivate new talent in the field of glass art.
Preservation: We are devoted to preserving the traditional craftsmanship skills of stained glass production, restoration, and conservation. Our extensive work in preserving historic stained glass ensures that this timeless art form endures for future generations.
Innovation: We are committed to developing new innovations in the field of glass art. By pushing the boundaries of what is possible, we strive to keep the art form evolving and relevant in a modern context.
Through these, we aim to engage with our community, bringing the spirit of creativity to all and ensuring that the rich heritage and future potential of glass art continue to thrive.
“The instinct to create is the heartbeat of being human — when you feed it, you thrive.”
